Interface 8: Can I hide the fields I'm not using in a reference?

Answer:

Note: This is only available for EndNote X and later.

You can toggle the display of empty fields in a reference. Double-click on a reference to open it. Click the double triangle icon to toggle between Hide Empty Fields and Show Empty Fields. Initially, EndNote displays all fields in a reference. Click Hide Empty Fields to view only those fields that contain data. This setting is remembered until you click the icon again.
