Interface 5: When I try to open my library by double-clicking on it, EndNote 8 comes up and gives the error "Windows cannot find '(path to .enl file)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." How can I avoid this?

Answer: The EndNote 8 program expects you to open a library through the "File > Open" menu within the program, or with the program itself open. If you double-click on a library file with the EndNote program itself closed, you may get this message.

However, this error doesn't actually prevent the library itself from opening properly, so you can click "OK" to the error message and continue working in your library.
