Import 18: When Direct Exporting from Wilson Web, my results don't come in properly. How can I correct this?

Answer:

Wilson Web does not use the proper RIS format when direct exporting, so the file will need to be downloaded and imported using the following steps.

Contact WilsonWeb if you would like them to correct the issue with their format.

  1. Find the records on WilsonWeb, and select those records.
  2. Select the "Exporting" option.
  3. Under "Download Record(s) into:" select the option called "For exporting to Bibliographic Software."
  4. Click the "Export button"
  5. A new Web page opens with the records in a text format.
  6. From your browser, save the page as a text file.
  7. Open EndNote.
  8. Go to the File menu, Choose Import.
  9. Choose the downloaded data file for the "Import Data File" box.
  10. For "Import Option" select "WilsonWeb." If does not appear on the list select "Other Filters" to locate the WilsonWeb filter.
