33:
When I try to use the EndNote 5 CWYW commands in Microsoft Word 98/2001
nothing happens. How can I fix this? |
Answer:
You can fix this as follows:
- In
Word go to "Tools / Templates and Addins". Under "Global Templates
and Addins" make sure that you see two files -- "EndNote 5 CWYW"
and "EndNote 5 CWYW Commands" -- and make sure that both files
are checked. If either one is unchecked, check it, click OK, and
try the tools again.
- If
the "EndNote 5 CWYW" file will not stay checked, you need to make
sure the CWYW extensions are loaded. Open a Finder window and
go to "System Folder:Extensions". You should have two files in
this folder called "CWYW Initlib" and "CWYW Serverlib". If you
do not see these files here check in "System Folder:Extensions
(Disabled)". If you find the files here, move them into "System
Folder:Extensions". Then restart the computer.
If you
still have trouble you may have a corrupt Normal template file. With
Word closed go to "Microsoft Office...:Templates" and locate a file
named "Normal." Rename this file to "Normal.old" and then move it
to the trash. Now open Word again and try the tools. |
