Word X is crashing when using EndNote, and my Home folder and the System folder are on different partitions. What can I do to resolve this? |

Answer:
Having the Home folder and the System folder on different partitions causes a known incompatibility between Word X and any third-party addins which use Visual Basic macros in Word, such as EndNote.
Try replacing the "Carbon Registration Database" file located on your computer at "Home > Library > Preferences > Microsoft" with this stuffed copy.
Alternately, you can use a user account that has the Home folder in the same partition as the System folder.
