CWYW 28: I'm using a non-English version of Word, and when I try to use the EndNote tools I'm getting a COM error or Word is crashing. What can I do to resolve this problem?

Answer: The EndNote tools may be incompatible with the non-English version of Word's grammar check function. To resolve this:
  1. In Word, go to the "Word" menu and click "Preferences".


  2. Click on the "Spelling and Grammar" menu.


  3. Uncheck all boxes under Grammar.


  4. Save the changes, and check to see if this resolves the problem when using the EndNote tools.
