I am exporting from EndNote Web or transferring references to EndNote and I am getting error messages or all of the records are not transferring. How can I fix this?

Answer:
If a record contains an Em dash (&mdash) or smart quotes, the records may not export properly.
Note this can also happen with certain extended and double byte characters.
The only current solution to this issue is to remove these characters from the EndNote Web record.
